Busy,Busy,Busy and on the Go...

Yes,we have been busy and on the go.My husband and I(my husband gets the credit of driving) drove from our home here outside of Chicago all the way to Colorado Springs for a few nights then off to Las Vegas to see my son Tyler get married.Stayed there for a few nights then drove out to Goodyear,Arizona to see my very close friend Vicki and her family. .We stayed there 4nights .Had a great time as always with her..Except that my husband ended up getting a virus of some kind in his throat.We felt so bad for him.He could barely even talk.He is doing so much better that he got a prescription to get it taken care of.Urgent Care has wonderful nurses and doctors there in Goodyear.Finally our last stop in Fetus,MO to see his good friend Wayne for a night.Whew,lots of miles!!Then back home.Unpack,Whew!
Then a week to get ready for my son Ty's wedding reception .Decorating as always the night before the reception.Which turned out very nice.Like I said busy and on the go!!!
As for this week we put our house on the market.Three weeks gone by quick.We are looking to live in AZ.Crazy huh??( I  lived there a year ago for almost a year.I came back to live in Il ).We will have another adventure to add to our lives.We are excited and looking forward to it! Warmer weather for sure then what we have been having here in IL.I miss certainly miss this beautiful home we live in.I will have another home to decorate.Sounds like fun to me.Vicki and I will have fun shopping as well for our new home while my husband sets up getting a new law firm office .We will have evenings  together by the pool . I will keep up posted ..

My Friend Bren

My friend Bren's house is one of my favorite places to hang out..I love her house.Its like home for me.She always makes you feel so welcomed in her home that she shares with her husband Kev.Her gorgeous 3yr-old grand-daughter Sadie evens has her own bedroom that any little girl who saw it would want to have a room like it.She had me over this Sat for my 44th birthday(I thought I was going to be 43.I must be either wishing deep down to stay younger or I am getting old.He He)Bren and I have been friends for over 30 years and share many memories through out those years.We spent the time over coffee and some very delicious bread.Yum.Let me tell you Bren can cook and bake like no other.She is really good at it!Ask people that know her.We always are curious what she is making.Its sooo yummy!!!Ok back to my story.Just thinking of her and her delicious food is getting me sidetracked.I bet if I called her up right now she would be having something tasty.
We went outside through her sliding glass doors that lead you out to this beautiful setting that has plants and these beautiful flowers that are placed in just the right spots.Yes,Bren is also good at gardening as well..I am at times bugging her to come over and do our yard or at least give me some pointers.She places old watering cans and flower pots of flowers to litttle gardening rubber boots underneath the pergula that hangs a shabby white chandilier.I could hang out here all afternoon.I love it here!!! Its so cozy!I hope by sharing with you pics of Brens house and garden you too will see what I'm talking about.I love you Bren !

Showing some "Fun Finds" over the weekend.Sweet vintage earrings and pins.The embroidered napkins are lovely.As for the other set of 4 napkins was a old feed sack.I didnt even realize it until I got them home and took the pin off and looked them over.Somebody made them into napkins.How cool!!

Hallo-White Wednesday...

Ok ... for some Halloween might be just a little too soon to decorate.Putting out spiders,withes hats adding some furry hanging bats from chandeliers along with some black crows just to name a few.For me not so this month will be a busy one for my family.Then I have a few weeks of Oct to enjoy it.Well... then I can see what other fun finds I can find to add to the house.We love to decorate our home for Halloween!!
